Ole Einar Bjrndalen is a Norwegian professional biathlete, often referred to by the nickname The King of Biathlon. He is the most medaled Olympian in the history of the Winter Olympic Games, withmedals. He is also the most successful biathlete of all time at the Biathlon World Championships, having won 44 medals, double that of any other biathlete. With 95 World Cup wins, Bjrndalen is ranked first alltime for career victories on the Biathlon World Cup tour, more than twice that of anyone else. He has won the Overall World Cup title six times, in 199798, in 200203, in 200405, in 200506, in 200708 and in 200809, more than any other male biathlete and the same as female record holder Magdalena Forsberg.
